COPD Monitor

A collaboration between the computer science and engineering departments, the COPD Monitor project combines passive sensor technology with product design to create a medical monitoring device that senses wheezing and an app that informs asthmatic patients and their doctors about triggers. This system makes data meaningful both in real-time for intervention when symptoms arise, and in long-term planning for treatment optimization.

Early Warning Project

The Early Warning Project (EWP) is a webapp that helps visualize, understand, interact with, and dig deeper into the issues of atrocities. EWP is being built by the DALI Lab at Dartmouth for the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum. EWP is a scrolling website with a central map. This map serves as the main visualization and as a navigation tool. As users scroll through content, the map remains stationary while updating dynamically to show relevant information. Navigate the website in two ways: by clicking on countries and elements on the map and/or by using the filters. The two filters are View (select “World” or a specific country) and Data Type (“All” or a specific data type).
