DALI Welcomes Two New Staff Members

This fall DALI welcomed two new full-time staff members to our team: Kate Stinson and Erica Lobel!

As our new Design Resident, Kate creates lab designs, and offers instruction and mentorship to student designers. Kate will help DALI teams with web and mobile UI/UX design theory and best practices and will bring a new level of mindful design to the lab. She completed her undergraduate work in Graphic Design at RIT and earned her masters in Information Design from the University of Reading in England. Since then she has worked on a variety of projects for both large and small companies, ranging from logos and infographics to the design of product display pages and search results. After her first week on the lab, it is obvious that Kate is eager to share her wealth of knowledge with DALI members to develop their own skills and knowledge of user-centered design. Kate may also end up in the role of DALI outdoor adventure coordinator as she can usually be found hiking, biking, trail running, or cross-country skiing when she’s not designing.

Erica is our new Project Manager. She supports the lab by tracking projects, providing guidance and resources to student Project Managers, as well as organizational support for every project team. Erica works with teams to plan project milestones, enhance their communication skills and develop agile project management techniques. Prior to DALI, Erica directed an outdoor leadership development program in Maine and worked for the Youth Conservation Corps in Yellowstone, and eagerly brings her organizational prowess and passion for working with young adults to the DALI Lab. She graduated from Carleton College with a degree in English, is originally from Albany, NY, and is thrilled to finally be living in the same state as the beautiful White Mountains.
